Hi! My name is Mary. Me llamo Mari. I founded Casa de Montessori in 2011 with the mission to create a nurturing and engaging, bilingual environment where your young learner can thrive.
I am the mother of 3 incredible, bilingual young adults between the ages of 15 and 21 years old. I began my Montessori educational career when my oldest, Michael, was only 2 years old & I walked into a Montessori school for a tour. That's where I knew the traditional public school route would not be for me, but instead the Montessori world. I spent many years as lead teacher at the toddler and primary level and then stepped out of the classroom 3 years ago to focus on school operations.
I am the proud daughter of immigrants and a first generation Guatemalan American. Soy chapina.
My undergraduate degree is in Human Services and I attained my Early Childhood Credential in 2010.
My goal is to surpass your expectations in what the standard for early learning should be. I want each child to feel seen, safe, and confident in their abilities while encouraging them to strive for their goals. The sky is the limit and belief in oneself is of the utmost importance.
When not at Casa de Montessori, you can find me with my children or adventuring in the wild as an avid hiker, paddleboarder, car camper, and soon to be backpacker! Meet my incredible teacher team who make all the magic come to fruition every single day!
